Following the success of the Woods Creek Elementary ADA signage suite, Crystal Lake District 47 requested a walkthrough and redo of all the braille signs at another elementary school in the district, Canterbury Elementary. Our sales team completed a site visit and relayed each sign name and location based on provided floor plans. Again in collaboration with the school's Security Director, I redesigned and manufactured new ADA signs for the entire school.
Coming in at just under 100 signs, this signage suite recycled many of the styles from Woods Creek Elementary with a few key differences. The Security Director wanted each sign to reflect the correct number listed on the school's floor plan, which required resizing and new layouts for many of the sign types. Careful consideration was taken to ensure compliance. We landed on a Rowmark color that best suited the red in Canterbury's logo and maintained the same font and spacing for a cohesive look across schools. Just like for the window signs at Woods Creek Elementary, I created editable Word documents at size so they could print and cut their own inserts when needed.
